My name is Chase Marberry, born William Charles Marberry, IV. I began piping in 2002. My passion for highland music and the bagpipes come from a longtime interest in the Scottish people and their history.
Each aspect of the Scottish bagpipes as well as the highland outfit has symbolic references to the fight for freedom. This is an innate part of me as my name literally means protector of the weak.
For over 10 years I have played the traditional highland music as well as contemporary tunes for parades, dances, parties, funerals, Boy-scout ceremonies, church events, and even high-school robotic competitions. As long as I can remember, I have loved the eerie yet romantic sound of the highland pipes and sharing the experience with others to remember those who have died to protect our freedoms.
Whether you want a very traditional experience with pomp and grace or you want a more outlandish soiree, I can customize the experience to fit any event. For birthday parties I can even show up in a themed costume on a unicycle to “Ride and Pipe”. I can even use fog machines, or dress like William Wallace complete with blue paint and a claymore! If you have an idea I will make it come to life.
I am available for events in Lubbock County. If you would like me to do an out of town event please message me for arrangements and pricing.
